I’m an Italian photographer who’s called the Loire Valley home for a while now — though if you ask my family, part of me never really left Italy. I photograph weddings and elopements the way I’d want mine photographed: with honesty, warmth, and zero performance.
I still cry at weddings. Every single one has a detail that catches me off guard — a look, a shaking hand during the vows, the way someone’s grandmother laughs — and it makes me fall in love with the day all over again. That’s what I’m chasing with my camera: not a perfect pose, but the moment that actually happened.
Between shooting weddings across France, I fell for this particular corner of it — the châteaux, the light on the Loire river at golden hour, villages that look like they haven’t changed in three hundred years. It felt like the obvious place to start photographing destination weddings and elopements for couples chasing that same feeling.
